E-signature

The signature is the moment a quote becomes a contract — so Dealops treats it as a trigger, not just a checkbox.

Sending for signature

Once a quote is approved, generate the order form from your organization's templates and send it for e-signature (via DocuSign) directly from the deal. Recipients, signing order, and CC parties are set on the envelope; no exporting PDFs and switching tools.

Tracking

Signer progress is tracked live on the quote — sent, viewed, signed per recipient — and each milestone emits a platform event (quote.signature.requested, quote.signature.completed), which can drive Slack notifications for the deal team.

What happens at completion

When the final signature lands, Dealops runs the close automatically:

  1. The quote locks — it becomes the immutable record of what was signed.
  2. CRM writeback — negotiated line items and deal fields land on the opportunity in your CRM. See Salesforce or HubSpot.
  3. Billing provisioning — for usage-based businesses, the contract provisions into Metronome. See Billing with Metronome.
  4. Renewal staging — for new business and renewals, the next renewal contract is staged. See Renewals.

The chain of events that usually takes deal desk a checklist and a day happens in the seconds after the customer signs.

Setup

An admin connects DocuSign via OAuth from Dealops settings. Signature events are verified end-to-end, and which automations run at completion — writeback, provisioning, notifications — is configurable per organization.
