Slack integration

Deals are discussed in Slack whether your tools know it or not. The Dealops Slack integration makes that conversation part of the deal record — and makes Slack a first-class surface for approvals.

Approvals in Slack

When a quote needs an approval, Dealops posts an interactive message to the approving team's channel (or directly to assignees):

  • Deal context up front — customer, value, term, and what triggered the approval.
  • One-click actions — Approve and Reject buttons on the message itself; rejections prompt for a reason.
  • Live status — the message updates as the chain progresses, so the channel sees the current state, not a stale request.

Decisions made in Slack are full-fidelity decisions: recorded in the audit trail with their origin, identical in effect to acting in the web app.

Threads that sync back

Replies in an approval or notification thread are captured as comments on the deal in Dealops — formatting preserved. The negotiation context that usually evaporates in Slack scrollback stays attached to the quote, visible to anyone who opens the deal later.

Deal notifications

Beyond approvals, Dealops can post lifecycle notifications to channels you choose — quote submitted, approval decided, signature completed, contract provisioned — so revenue teams follow deal flow without polling dashboards.

Identity linking

Slack users are linked to their Dealops accounts, so approvals carry the right identity, notifications reach the right people, and synced comments are attributed correctly. Organizations with multiple Slack workspaces are supported.

Setup

An admin installs the Dealops Slack app via OAuth from Dealops settings, then chooses routing: which approval groups post where, and which channels receive notifications. Connection and identity-link events are recorded like any other platform event.

Where this pays off most

Approval latency is usually waiting, not deciding. Putting the decision where approvers already live — with context and one-click actions — is the single biggest cycle-time win most teams get from Dealops.
